This years Black Tie dinner saw the highest number of guests gather to enjoy a great meal, hear reports on the ministry from the last 12 months and capture the vision of the future of FEVA.
The night kicked off with a talk by Malcolm about the impact that the Arts is having on our society through things such as Second Life – a ‘3D online digital world imagined, created and owned by its residents’ and ‘Starcraft®’ – a new real time, multiplayer, online, strategy game from Blizzard Entertainment. He shared that the subversive and immersive and yet uplifting and enriching world of the arts surround us and that the arts are central to the many worlds we are creating for ourselves and that our task is not to shirk or shun but to venture boldly with the offer of a second life – one that’s found only in Christ. It was a timely reminder of the impact that the arts is having all around us and the need to boldly hold out Jesus to people immersed by the Arts. It was also a great reminder of how important the ministry of FEVA is.

We heard about the student ministry from Cameron Blair through ‘FEVA Live’. He crossed ‘live’ to the campuses to our reporters (the MTS staff) to hear about what has been happening on campus. We heard about the installation at COFA for the campus mission being destroyed by students from Jessica.

We heard about the difficulties of being a Christian student at Sydney College of the Arts from Linda.

We heard about the importance of meeting with other Christian students and sharing the faith on campus through Bible Study groups from Jarrad.
